![]() Crazy and that's with waterproof case etc. One of the best there, the SJ7000, is around for £46 at the moment. Full spec on my link here Anyway, here's my test.Īnd below it a 4 way budget camera test I did just before receiving the Git2. Google Techmoans glowing review of the Git 1 too. Has a good built in gyro and this is not just software based as some people suggested when I reviewed the Firefly S6 gyro stabilised camera. But it has an amazing range of settings, even down to customising the colour balance. Even the SJCAM 5000X Elite seems to use 19 more power than the Git2 in my tests and they both use Sony sensors. The settings menu isn't the most user friendly I've tried, but I got used to it after a few days. GitUp Git2P Standard Edition with 170° FOV 2160P Panasonic Sensor 99.99 89.99 Save 10. The GitUp cameras have much more energy efficient sensors than the Mobius, I would guess that even with the screen they do use a fair bit less power than the Mobius for the same recording resolution & fps. ![]() £65 at the moment in January sale until 10th I think? Some people have already said it's the best of the budget cameras. Unless you have a big budget, or are a commercial broadcaster some budget cameras are just as good for YouTube etc.Īnyway, to get to the point, here's my full test and review of the GitUp Git 2 a camera I was looking forward to testing it because reviews of the Git 1 were very good. OK, nothing much will get near the £300+ top range GoPro Hero 4 Black, but these cameras use the same CMOS and chips as good brands and as I say, some are very good. SJ Cam, Firefly and GitUp develop their own cameras. Some are as good as the more well known brands. OK, there are a lot of rip-off copies out there, some bad copies too, but there are also some companies in China that have jumped on the action camera popularity bandwagon and developed their own cameras. In 2013, there were reports about a "high-end and high-performance" Battlefield mobile title that should have been released at the same time as Battlefield 4, but it was canceled.įans of the franchise should also be aware that Dice is currently hard at work on a new Battlefield title (potentially "Battlefield 6") for consoles and PCs that is set for release later this year. This isn't the first we hear about a Battlefield mobile game. Oskar Gabrielson, general manager at Dice, stated that the upcoming mobile will be "designed specifically for the mobile platform." He added, "it's being built from the ground up by iToys to make Battlefield-on-the-go a reality and you can expect a fully-fledged, skill-based experience." Oskar also reported that the game is entering a testing phase and promised more details about it in the future. This will change soon, as Dice and Industrial Toys, acquired by EA in 2018, will be responsible for bringing Battlefield to mobile devices in 2022 as a standalone game. Taking Call of Duty: Mobile as a prime example, the mobile title has made about $10 billion in revenue during 2020, much more than most console and PC games do in their lifetime.ĮA is no stranger to the mobile market, but it's yet to release a mobile game using its popular shooter franchise. Mobile gaming has proved an immense source of income for developers and publishers. Besides the Battlefield mobile game, Dice is also developing "Battlefield 6" for consoles and PC, scheduled for a release later this year. In partnership with Industrial Toys and Dice, EA is working on a mobile Battlefield title set to launch in 2022. Players who pre-order will have early access to the open beta and can choose from three different editions, including the “Battlefield 2042 Gold Edition” for $89.99 on PC and $99.99 on console, or the “Battlefield 2042 Ultimate Edition” for $109.99 on PC or $119.99 on console.TL DR: The Battlefield franchise is expanding into mobile platforms. “Battlefield 2042” is now available for pre-order and will be priced at $59.99 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC and $69.99 for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. EA clarified that new locations introduced during season content post-launch will not be locked behind a Battle Pass and will be accessible to all players. In the first year, there will be four seasons with four Battle Passes, four new Specialists and new locations, along with other new content. “Battlefield 2042” will have a Battle Pass for each season that will include both free and premium tiers. The third will be revealed during EA Play Live on July 22, while the first gameplay trailer will be released during Microsoft’s EA showcase on Sunday. The second mode, Hazard Zone, is a squad-based game-type, a multiplayer experience that is “distinctly Dice but very different from All-Out Warfare’s Conquest or Breakthrough modes,” according to the announcement, and is not a battle royale mode. The maps will also be filled with dynamic weather, dangerous environment hazards and world events.Īll-Out Warfare will launch with seven maps (click on each link for images): Kaleidoscope, set in Sogdo, South Korea Manifest, set in Brani Island, Singapore Orbital, set in Kourou, French Guiana Discarded, set in Alang, India Renewal, set in the Eastern Desert, Egypt Hourglass, set in Doha, Qatar and Breakaway, set in Queen Maud Land, Antarctica. The first, All-Out Warfare, is the next generation of the Conquest and Breakthrough modes, featuring the largest maps ever in the franchise and matches with up to 128 players. “Battlefield 2042” will feature three distinct game modes, with two announced on Wednesday. What they’ll find is that we’ve built three distinct, absolutely epic experiences that we think they’ll love.” ![]() “All of us across DICE in Stockholm, DICE LA, Criterion and EA Gothenburg have had so much fun developing this game and now it’s time to let players jump in. “’Battlefield 2042′ is an evolution of the franchise and embraces what our players want – the ultimate ‘Battlefield’ multiplayer sandbox with intense combat and a ton of incredible, unexpected events,” said Oskar Gabrielson, general manager of Dice, in a statement. ![]() From left: Wikus “Casper” Van Daele, Webster Mackay, Maria Flack, Pyotr “Boris” Guskovsky Courtesy of Electronic Arts
![]() The strip is a 3 minute walk and is a good night out. There is a big supermarket opposite the apartments which sells most things. We went Malia last year and they tried to charge us for toilet roll but Anthea gave us them for free. The cleaners came to our room everyday but we didn't really have the room cleaned as they came early in the morning but they would always leave clean towels & clean sheets. Would request a room at the back where there is a separate pool which is chilled but you can still go to the pool bar and get food & drink, the food at the bar is nice and a reasonable price. However the music at the pool bar plays constant loud music from 10am - 7pm which was a bit annoying as we wasn't getting in till 6am and being woke up at 10am with a hangover wasn't the best to say the least lol. Our room was facing the pool which was ok at first. We brought a safe but never used it as the safes are in the reception but you get your own key. ![]() You can request air on and wifi but you have to pay for it on arrival or you can do it daily. I stayed here in July with two friends, When we first arrived we were surprised on how nice the apartments looked from the outside, there was a bar outside which was playing music and selling alcohol. Overall Aiya napa is a great place but if you look around you will find nicer places than anthea but might have spend a little more! Bad things: my room and my friends room were filthy and only saw the maids once on the hoilday when they came really early and had one of there kids with them! The maids didn't speak English so it was hard for them to understand when we ask them to clean are room! We also found dead wood lice in the door frame and a cockroaches! The pools were roughly cleaned with it still having green mould on the tiles! The day we left there were 2 rooms that had money taking from them, even though one of the rooms were left open! And not much you can do about it but there is a bell tower near the hotel that goes off early. I've just got back from here and I had the best time in Aiya napa! Good thing: the position of the hotel is close to shops and restaurants and a few minutes walk from the strip! The restaurant at the hotel were good with generous portions! The reception staff were good and speak English. After we had reported it we heard from a number of other groups of people that they also had money stolen while staying at the hotel with no sign of forced entry to their rooms!!! Real shame as apart from that I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff at reception did not seem bothered at all either. €800 was stolen from our room one night while we were out when ALL our doors and windows were locked!!!! We reported it to the police as obviously it is someone who has access to the room who had taken the money. So we decided to keep our money in our rooms. The hotel generally is quite good for a party holiday however, if you are planning on staying here BE CAREFUL!!! We had been told a couple of weeks before someone we know had valuables in a safety deposit box in reception that was robbed. Music throughout the day, near Nissi Beach, near the strip etc. The hotel is brilliant if you are in a group of young lads/girls. Rooms were as you would expect - liveable but nothing fancy. ![]() Travelled to Ayia Napa last year and had heard the Anthea was the best place to stay so thought we would try it this year. I strongly recommend Kandi beach party and Pambos pool party - these 2 events were the highlight of my week and I already can't wait for my next trip there. ![]() I had a great holiday in Ayia Napa and would definitely return again. If the red and green apartments arn't available for your chosen dates I would still recommend Anthea as a whole, it is a 2 minute walk away from the strip, 2 minute walk away from a convenience store, 2 minute walk away from Pambos hotel where the pool parties are held and 5 minute walk away from the Main Street of restaurants and shops. We made friends with several different people staying in the Anthea apartments and whenever they came into our room they would mention how much nicer it was compared to theirs. They are part of the Anthea block, so have all the perks of the Anthea apartments like the perfect location and access to the pool area, but they are privately owned so they are much cleaner and have been recently renovated. To anyone strongly considering staying in the Anthea apartments, I would recommend looking at the "Red and Green apartments". One woman claims she thought Kazaam was just a rip-off of Shazaam, which supposedly came out first. ![]() which fits the description so many people claim to remember as the cover art for Shazaam.īut as it turns out, a lot of people "remember" both Shazaam and Kazaam existing in the same decade. The cover art for Kazaam depicts Shaq posing with his arms crossed against a purple background. As it turns out, this is an actual scene from the 1996 musical comedy Kazaam, which stars Shaquille O'Neal as a genie who helps a young boy get to know his estranged father. One of the comments in the now-infamous Yahoo! Answers thread contains a description of what the commenter believes to be a real scene from Shazaam: The kids ask Sinbad to prove he's a genie, so he makes it rain junk food. So, as the thinking goes, those who remember Shazaam really do remember it - they're just no longer living in a universe in which the movie got made in the first place. Somewhere along the line, wires got crossed. What most people would chalk up to false or conflated memories is not, by this argument, actually the case instead, the memories simply come from a parallel universe. The Mandela Effect is rooted in the multiverse idea. It's official canon in the WB's popular dark fantasy series Supernatural, examined throughout its sixth season and exemplified in " The French Mistake," one of the show's most famous episodes.Īnd it also just might be the explanation for why so many people remember seeing a Sinbad-starring genie movie called Shazaam. It is the very conceptual backdrop of modern cult-classic Rick and Morty. Multiverse theory has made its presence known across various movies, TV shows, and comic books. Many insisted that it was spelled Berenstein - with an 'E,' not an 'A.' This was the Mandela Effect in action.Īs the phenomenon began to slowly seep into the mainstream, posts about Shazaam began and a viral uproar ensued.īy now, consumers of pop culture - particularly in the science-fiction realm - are more than familiar with the notion of parallel universes. A collective internet murmur emerged over the children's book and cartoon series The Berenstain Bears. (Mandela didn't actually pass until 2013.) Mandela and Shazaam weren't the only major examples. ![]() The term was coined by paranormal researcher Fiona Broome after she discovered that many people seemed to "remember" Nelson Mandela dying in prison in the 1980s. The film fell back under the radar until 2015, when VICE published an article about the Mandela Effect: the concept of collective misremembering. Later that year, the famed comedian tweeted: "I must hve played a genie. Help it's driving me nuts!" Apparently that Yahoo! poster wasn't the only one who remembered the Sinbad genie movie. Remember Yahoo! Answers? Back in 2009, an anonymous individual posed an earnest question: "Do you remember that Sinbad movie? Wasn't there a movie in the early 90s where Sinbad the entertainer/comedian played a genie? I know Kazaam had Shaq in it and that's not the one I'm thinking about. |
